Barely a full day after wrapping up the Pyramid music video shoot at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, Charice and Iyaz, bowled for charity at the 4th annual APCH Star & Strikes at Pinz Bowling and Entertainment Center. APCH stands for A Place Called Home, where kids in South Central find no other better place to hang after school.
(How did her frames fare…)
APCH
It is an oasis for inner city kids who would otherwise be on the street, tempted by drugs and gangs and threatened by violence. For the past fourteen years, it has served as a safe, home-like environment for thousands where kids can enjoy an after school meal, study, play sports, make music, learn dance, get mentoring and tutoring services, and have fun.

Prior to the charity tournament, Charice reiterated that she would be there just to watch and quipped that Iyaz should teach her how to bowl. Clearly, bowling might be a new sport for her but after sharing online with her Chasters on the said topic, she’s quite a sports gal I should say (without mentioning specifics).
However, despite being hesitant to play, Charice plunged into the tournament throwing her first ball to which she tweeted and I could only guess that the pins were all safe. But then a few moments later, she belted out, “STRIKE!” on the 3rd frame. She nailed a spare then a strike consecutively which placed her 1st at the end of the 6th frame. With no marks at the 7th and 8th frame, she slipped to 2nd place tied with another player and 2 other players tied for 1st.
At the end, Charice placed 4th in the bowling tournament against almost 10 rivals.
