Charice is back in Los Angeles after coming from a 3-day stint in Miami, Florida for the 25th Winter Music Conference (WMC). For 3 consecutive days she hit 3 WMC events – Keep on Dancin’ 2010, 25th International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) and Jonathan Peters Annual Pool Party.

WMC Miami 2010

Established in 1985, WMC is the largest music industry gathering of its kind in the world. In its 25th consecutive year, it is one of the most publicized annual music gatherings in the world. A pivotal platform for advancement of the industry, WMC 2009 attracted 1,910 artists and DJs, 3,228 industry delegates from 62 countries and over 70,000 event attendees for a concentrated schedule of more than 500 events presented across 5 days. Charice performs live PYRAMID and I WILL SURVIVE

Yearly, this event commemorates Mel Cheren, affectionally known as The Godfather of Disco for his championing of DJ’s, dance music and club culture from the early days of the Disco Movement, through the music of the Paradise Garage — A nightclub notable in the history of modern gay and nightclub cultures and in dance and pop musics. The Music is unique and eclectic in style of disco and dance musics played at the Garage gave rise to the descriptive terms “garage,” “garage style” and “garage classic”.

Before performing live on this event, Charice was introduced by the host as a breaking new artist that crosses bridges — bringing the old school to the new school. She sang the club version, Dave Aude’s remix, of her new single Pyramid and I Will Survive.

25th International Dance Music Awards (IDMA)
The awards event is an industry program highlight at the epicenter of WMC week. Another unique aspect of the IDMAs is the convergence of industry legends and emerging talent alike. As music continues to evolve the IDMAs will remain an essential platform for career launching appearances.

On this awards night, Charice was a co-presenter, with Deborah Cox, for IDMA’s Best Remixer Award where Dave Aude, who made a remix of her new single Pyramid, were one of the nominees. The award went to Kaskade.

Jonathan Peters Annual Pool Party

Jonathan Peters is America’s favorite DJ, legendary New York nightlife staple, and Pacha NYC resident. This year he brought the New York beat to the Miami heat for another edition of his sell out pool party. Deborah Cox and Charice were his special guests. Ms. Cox and Charice sang a duet entitled Same Script, Different Cast.
