Charice is back in New York after almost a week of non-stop sorties in Washington DC which began with the Horatio Alger Awards Induction Ceremony after-treat. Then, she was also at the Cherry 2010 weekend, at radio interviews and performances on HOT 99.5, KISS 99.3 and the Jack Diamond Morning Show on MIX 107.3, and lastly at a gala event for ChildHelp.

Horatio Alger Awards Induction Ceremony After-treat. After four hours of inspirational speeches that began at 6pm from the newly inductees about the American dream and the adversity they overcame through hard work, perseverance and integrity, the members of the Association went for an after-treat with David Foster and Friends at the Ritz Carlton. Among the suprise musical guests were new pop sensation Charice and American Idol alum Ruben Studdard. Josh Page, the Canadian Tenor, and Nikki Yanofsky, the Montreal singing sensation.

Cherry Blossom National Parade 2010. The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is one of Washington, DC’s largest public events of the year, drawing about 100,000 spectators from around the world. The parade combines wonderful entertainment for the whole family including decorated floats, gigantic colorful helium balloons, marching bands, clowns, horses, antique cars, military and celebrity performances, the National Cherry Blossom Festival® All-Star Youth Tap Dance Team and Choir, and various cultural performing groups.

Among this year’s entertainment highlights were performances by Charice and Deborah Cox.

Cherry Fund Weekend 2010. The Cherry Fund, established in 1999, and located in Washington, DC, is an independent, all-volunteer 501(c) 3 foundation. The sole purpose of the Fund is to raise funds for the HIV/AIDS youth service community. The Fund focuses on organizations combating the spread of HIV infection & AIDS through prevention, treatment, and education in the nation’s youth community.

One of the scheduled events was held at Town Danceboutique and Deborah Cox was set to perform that night after the Cherry Blossom National Parade. Charice opened up the stage that night for her singing a remix of Pyramid.
