Not at this time. That’s according to Ms. Liz Rosenberg, Charice’s publicist, when asked earlier at a live interview over Blogtalk Radio (blogtalkradio.com) hosted by Chasters about the big Glee surprise that came out this week first on a local online newspaper, the Philippine Daily Inquirer, where Charice local manager was quoted to have confirmed Charice’s permanent casting on the hit show Glee on Fox.
Charice and her mom, together with her US manager, Marc Johnston, have already dismissed the big Glee surprise as only a rumor and not to be held true. Ms. Liz Rosenberg’s response on the other hand did not sound the same as the three. She hinted a time element into her response. Throughout the interview, she stressed the importance right now for a new artist to lay the ground first and that being putting radio tours as a first priority.
In the first 2 weeks after Charice self-titled international debut album hit the shelves, we saw her climb the charts in the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, primarily attributed to the volume of sales of her album. However, right now, she has considerably dipped notches down the charts as the sales went down too. With the current priority of going on radio tours for Charice, radio air plays could bring her back up on the charts.
Ms. Liz Rosenberg further hinted that she can book Charice to any shows in the US given it’s the current strategy of her US management. One show in particular to cite as an example she mentioned was Saturday Night Live (SNL).
