Author: The second season of “Glee” kicked off last night and immediately cast aside any worries of a sophomore slump with an absolutely reinvigorating opening scene that not only directly addressed the show’s biggest critics, but seriously brought the funny. It also proved that while New Directions was ready for a new beginning, they weren’t going to be getting one any time soon.
LOS ANGELES – Charice blew away the crowd who attended the premiere of the second season of the top-rated TV show, “Glee,” here at the Paramount Studios theatre where the petite 18-year-old made her much-awaited debut.

Young starlet Charice set to take on the world after being noticed on YouTube
Charice Pempengco is every bit a songstress diva. She hummed a few melodies here and there to fill the void during our interview, and upon request to sing a Happy Birthday tune for a local magazine, Pempengco, better known as Charice, had no qualms. She immediately stood up and rendered a most beautiful version of a frequently heard song with wild hand gestures and strong facial expressions.
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Filipina singing prodigy Charice Pempengco has a long-term plan that involves a different stage than the ones she has occupied since Oprah Winfrey dubbed her the “most talented girl in the world.”
Since Oprah featured Pempengco, known simply as Charice, on her talk show in 2008, the pop singer’s profile has grown steadily. Although she is just 18, her striking, powerful voice has already shared stages with the likes of tenor Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion.
